Pearl Bradd - 2002 Biophilia Award
Ms. Bradd is a newly retired teacher with a lengthy list of accomplishments in protecting life in our community. She has won the Prime Minister's award for Teaching Excellence, the Roberta Bodnar Award for excellence in promoting science and technology, and the ERCA Federation Award for Environmental Stewardship. She participates in the Little River project and has mentored the students that were recognized by National Geographic. She's organized the World Famine events at Riverside High School, has created living sanctuaries around the school, was recognized by the Canadian Wildlife Federation. She also ran the Environment Club, the Environthon activities and a summer Environmental Youth Care program.
She is currently assisting with the Science Museum and volunteering at elementary schools. In addition, she has volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, Cancer Society, and United Way
