DISCHARGE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FELINE SPAYS

1.       Provide shelter for the cat for a minimum of 7 days from the day surgery was performed. Avoid extremes in temperature either cold or hot

2.       Check incision daily (if cat is not too feral). Call us if there is any discharge from the incision (blood, pus, clear fluid), swelling or redness.

3.       Make sure the cat is not licking at her incision. Contact us for advice if you find she is licking her incision.

4.       Do not bathe the cat for at least ten days from when surgery was performed.

5.       Contact us if cat seems listless or is not eating.
