How We Support Our Work

More than half of our total revenue comes from the kind donations of our members and friends who value what we do and how we do it. Only 5.5% of our expenditures go toward administrative costs; 16.5% is used for fundraising, and the rest of our money goes directly toward our charitable programs.

The remainder of our revenue is raised through a number of projects:

Special Events: Our annual fall banquet, walk-a-thons, yardsales, Photo with Santa, Holiday plant & flower sales, etc.

Collection of Grocery Store Tapes: We accept all Zehr's and Sobey's store receipts. (Please note that A&P discontinued their receipt tape program on December 31, 2006)

Canadian Tire Money: Used to purchase cleaning supplies.

eBay Sales: You can find anything on eBay and we will auction just about anything for our shelter cats. Please consider making a donation of item(s) that are new, collectible or any item that is in good condition that you no longer need.

Items for sale: We are currently selling the "I Purr" CD and the book "The Adventures of Spyke & Spencer". Please consider purchasing these items for yourself or someone you know. They make great gifts!
